Phishing: An attempt to gain personal/financial information.
Usually through EMAIL, but can be applied to internet WEBSITES
What you see: "Click here to proceed"
Example in full text may be:
"Your account has been compromised; please go to YOURBANK.COM to fix this problem"
How it works:
The DISPLAYED NAME differs then the redirecting code
< a href = "http://www.pornsite.com">YOURBANK.COM< / a >

Part 2 - is the displayed text of a hyperlink
Part 1 - is the actual target of the hyperlink
How to combat:
In some cases, HOVERING THE MOUSE over the text will display the link
(usually in the bottom left corner of your screen).
In other cases, SHOW SOURCE will let you see the actual source code (html text).
If you are looking at an email, try to accept TEXT ONLY (which will show "href").
If you are seeing html, you will not see the targeted web site.
