Follow this procedure to troubleshoot the error Operating system not found or missing operating system.
Remove all removable media and batteries.
Remove any added hardware.
Reset the computers BIOS to the default values.
NOTE: Verify the the hard drive is detected in BIOS. If the hard drive is not recognized in BIOS, the hard disk drive is the cause of the error.
Perform a System Recovery.
